Digitization Project

The Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is conducting a “digitization project” to preserve the “treasurers” of newspaper clippers and scrapbookers who have a collection of significant newspaper clippings from the past, the older the better. We will scan the clippings, creating a colour PDF image with a searchable OCR layer.

Following the digitization, the clippings can be returned to you or retained for our collection.

At the moment we are limited to a standard size page layout.

It will be necessary to sign a waiver giving the Quinte Branch either exclusive or joint ownership of the materials due to copyright restrictions.

If you contact us, we can arrange pickup within the greater Quinte area.

All you have to do is collect your clippings and call or email us for pickup.
